Welcome to our new Homepage. We at Hortrex value the growing community of plants lover in the Philippines, and to better be of service, we decided to create a space where we can share information easily. To briefly explain, Hortrex was founded as Unigreen Group's Domestic Wholesale Division. Since its inception in 1994, Unigreen has consistently exported quality products, although mostly dealing with our Japanese clientele. Over the years, we expanded over Europe, North America, South east Asia, and now conduct business around the globe. As our export business grew, we slowly started working on entering the domestic market, and in 2003, to commit to the expansion, Hortrex was founded. As evidenced by most developing countries, we were confident that domestic sales would grow as the Philippines gained economic expansion. However, more importantly, the three factors below pushed us to invest in developing Hortex as an independent company: 1. The Philippines have rich variety of natural climates, therefore perfect for producing foliage plants. 2. Uni-Green's investment in lowland to highland farm has allowed for the production of an assortment of plant types that assures a high-quality end product. 3. Upon experience, we have realized a system that allows us to provide export quality products. Through nearly 30 years of dealing with the global market, the factors listed above have given us confidence in providing Made in Philippines products that are more reasonable cost and of better quality than imported goods. Hortrex is committed to continually bringing in new plant varieties from around the globe, grow them in this land, with the people of the Philippines, and distributing them with our trusted local partners to bring them to you. We hope to bring you a lively environment through our foliage plants in a densely concrete and stressful urban life.
